Disappointing customer service experience

Prior to ordering the belt, I requested assistance with sizing, and was told to order size XL. When the belt arrived, it was too large. I requested to return the belt and exchange for a smaller size, but was told I would have to pay for shipping, depsite the fact that 3DM's website advertises free returns. Website states: "Free exchanges/return are offered once per order, if merchandise is unworn and brand new. "
